Use of the AERMOD model in calculating the dispersion of air pollutant emissions from stationary sources

We outline the main characteristics of the AERMOD dispersion model and the composition of input data as well as de¬monstrating the capabilities of AERMOD in comparison with the currently used models. Results from calculating the dispersion of nitrogen dioxide from stationary sources at the planned Belarusian Antarctic station are presented. A comparison is made of the calculated concentrations for different periods of averaging with environmental standards and results obtained for the other Antarctic stations.
