Formation of resources and chemical composition of surface and subsurface waters in the Khilok and Chikoi interfluve

An analysis is made of the influence of the territory’s geological development on the formation of the hydrographic network, resources and chemical composition of surface and subsurface waters in the region. A dominant role of discontinuities in the water and chemical flow, the location of subsurface water drainage places, and in the distribution of freshwater and salt lakes is substantiated. The analysis revealed inherent associations of chemical elements in surface and subsurface waters that are responsible for the resources within the confines of aeolian sands, volcanogenic-sedimentary formations and discontinuities.
