We discuss the results from many years of investigations into the ecological state of environmental sites in Primorie and Priamurie. It is found that processing wastes of tin ore feed-stock have a negative influence on the ecosphere as a whole. It is found that the levels of ions of ammonium, arsenic, copper and other heavy metals in snow cover exceed maximum allowable concentration (MAC). The study revealed a significant accumulation of total and mobile forms of elements in soils and vegetation. Some recommendations and suggestions are made in order to cope with the ecological problems.
Keywords: mining technogenic systems, ecological problems, total pollutional index, pollution coefficient, pollen sterility.
