Presented are the results from thermoluminescence dating of lacustrine-fluvial and glacial deposits in the delta of the Tyya river (North-Baikal rift valley). The mid-Neopleistocene age of lacustrine and fluvial deposits from the 50–80-meter Tyya terrace as determined on the basis of the remains of large fauna and from palynological data is confirmed by thermoluminescence da¬ting. Datings were obtained from two uneven-aged layers composed by glacial deposits having their origin in the mid-Pleistocene which are comparable with the glaciations of the MIS 8 and MIS 6 stages. The paleolevels of waters, the indicators of which are provided by the lacustrine and lacustrine-fluvial terraces of the Eopleistocene–mid-Neopleistocene age exceeded the contemporary level of Baikal waters by several tens of meters.
