A new look at cryolithogenesis of marine sediments of gas-bearing struc-tures on the Yamal (review of the monograph by Yu.B. Badu “Cryogenic strata of gas-bearing structures of the Yamal Peninsula”)

There is considered the Yu.B. Badu’ cryolithological paradigm based on the results of the multi-year research of forming conditions of cryogenic strata of the Yamal gas-bearing structures. The geological structure, composition and state of the Middle Neopleistocene–Holocene strata testify to its occurrence on the background of the Arctic basin transgressions–regressions and development under conditions of sedimentation, cooling and freezing under the influence of heat flux and gas emission from gas deposit.
