About regimes of ice formation during freezing of the ground

The conditions of three regimes of ice formation (ice accumulation, volumetric frost heaving and expulsion) have been considered. It has been shown that each of these regimes has definite coupling between overburden pressure and external temperature. The important features of each of these regimes have been outlined.
