Temperature field change in cryolithozone at extraction of diamond deposits in Western Yakutia by open-cut method (on the example of Udachnaya pipe)

Based on the results of perennial geothermal observations, the tendency of сryolithozone temperature fields towards cooling has been determined both for drain brine burial polygons and for safety berms of various horizons of an open-cast mine of the udachnaya pipe. The negative temperature balance of ambient air with considerable man-caused impact on the natural environment at extraction of diamond deposits can be considered the principal causes of the given phenomenon in this region.
