The increase in the information content of permafrost maps by means of GIS-analysis

At drawing up digital permafrost GIS-maps it is offered to carry out the spatial analysis of permafrost-landscape conditions of formation of mapping parameter and to include its results as the diagrams and tables of interrelations in the map legend. By the example of three regional maps “Distribution and temperature of permafrost and thawed ground”, “Seasonal freezing and thawing grounds”, “Potential permafrost stability of landscapes to anthropogenous influences “is shown what new information can be benefited by reading the map. In the legends of the maps the regularities of spatial distribution of permafrost parameter values are shown. The sequence of determination of its typical values is given.
