The structural-tectonical criteria for the assessment of injectivity of massives for the diamond-mining waste water disposal in the cryolithozone of Western Yakutia

Frozen-hydrogeological and structural-tectonic conditions of drain water disposal at the largest diamond deposits developed by of „ALROSA” Co. Ltd. in Western Yakutia are considered. The main capacity of natural reservoirs for pumping mineralized water is confined to regional tectonically-broken intervals of cryolithozone, possessing the „high-filtration volume” properties of rocks. The favorable parameters of objects of cryosphere allow us to use some zones of permafrost rocks and subpermafrost buried aquifers as polygons for waste water disposal and to reduce diamond-mining damage to environment.
